PokeResearchBot Manual
The PokeResearchBot lets you report and share field research with your local Pokémon GO community. Field research tasks are obtained from spinning PokéStops, and each Pokémon GO player will receive the same research task within a 24 hour window.

Some tasks offer better rewards than others, and it is useful to share these tasks with other members of your community. The PokeResearchBot provides tools for sharing these tasks, and a useful map to see tasks of interest.

The following commands can be used with the PokeResearchBot:
  1. !delete — Deletes a field research task.
  2. !map — Prints a link to the community Google Map.
  3. !pokemon — Specifies a Pokémon that was found from a PokéStop.
  4. !report — Reports a new field research task.
!delete
Deletes a field research task.
!deletetask
The !delete command permanently deletes a task that you've reported. The task must have been reported on the same day (otherwise it would have been archived). Also, the task must have been reported by you (otherwise you do not have permission to delete it.)

The single parameter of the !delete command is a unique task ID. Whenever you report a new task, the bot assigns an ID to the new task. You can see the ID when the task is reported.

Once the task is deleted, it is removed from the field research map.

!map

!researchmap
The !map command gives you a link to Google Maps. Clicking the link will open the map in a web browser and display all your community's tasks reported since midnight.

!map
You can view all of today's reported research for Diablo Valley Pokémon GO on Google Maps.
!pokemon
Specifies a Pokémon that was found from a PokéStop.
Some tasks can reward more than one type of Pokémon. Fortunately, everyone who receives a task from the same PokéStop will receive the exact same Pokémon.

To specify which Pokémon was received from a specific PokéStop, use the !pokemon command. The single parameter of the !pokemon command is a unique task ID. Whenever you report a new task, the bot assigns an ID to the new task. You can see the ID when the task is reported.

!report
Reports a new field research task.
!research
The !report command is used to add a newly found field research task to your community map. The only parameter to the command is the text of the research task. The research bot will attempt to identify the closest known task to the one you type in.

You don't need to type in the text exactly. The research bot will automatically account for any differences in punctuation, accent marks, case-sensitivity, etc. For example, if you type in "evolve a fire type pokemon", the research bot will correctly identify this as the "Evolve a Fire-type Pokémon" task.

Important Note: Using the command name (e.g. "!report") is optional. That means you can simply type the name of a task to the research bot, and it will automatically interpret this as a !report command.

If the research bot doesn't find the task that you entered, then it will offer a few known possibilities, ranked from most likely to least likely. Note that if it does find a match, then it will skip this step.

You can always choose "Other" if none of the bot's suggestions match the text found in Pokémon GO.

The next step is to choose the reward.

You can always choose "Other" if none of the bot's suggestions are correct. The bot will then let you choose from every possible task reward and quantity.

But if you are not next to the PokéStop, you can always click the "Select From Map" link to send a different Location.

The last step is optional. You may choose to upload a photo of the PokéStop that gave the field research task.
